This week’s pet is Chevy, owned by Cyndy of AuTrain!




Says Cyndy--“ We lost our doggie of 10 years in early June of this year. She was a rescue from the Lower Michigan area. We knew that we wanted to adopt another furry friend to give her a good home. We looked and looked and found a rescue place called DITR (Diamond in the Rough) in the Escanaba area. They are on Facebook if you are interested. We adopted our new baby girl (originally named Foxy) but now named Chevy at the end of June. She came all the way from Los Angeles County in California as an “owner surrender”. She went from an animal rescue shelter in LA to a German Shepherd rescue place in Green Bay then on to DITR in Escanaba. We met her and fell in love at her foster mom’s (Diana Weber) house where she was living for 3 weeks with a wonderful family that had a furry friend for her to play with named Roscoe and 3 little kids that were so much fun. I thank all the people that do this type of rescue and hope this story gets out there so that they can get all the
help they need to continue on with this wonderful thing they are doing. If they weren’t there we wouldn’t have had the opportunity to have such a beautiful furry girl in our family now. Here are a few pictures of her. She will be a year old on September 16th and has had such an adventure so far in her young life. We are glad now that she will be safe and loved for the rest of her life.”
