This week’s pet is Neej, owned by Peg of Gwinn.

As Peg puts it, “Two years ago, I adopted a 12-year old Maine Coon cat from the Marquette County Humane Society.  I had been looking for a cat since my Golden Retriever had passed away.  I found Neej, which means "friend" in Ojibwe.  He was so matted and had a nasty cold.  Neej has given my family and me lots of purrs and love.  He's just a joy to have around even though he's so hairy!!”
