Buble wins four; Nickelback takes two at Juno Music Awards.
HALIFAX, NOVA SCOTIA [Wednesday Apr.5.2006] /WMQT.com/ -- Michael Buble was the big winner at this year's Juno Music Awards, held Sunday night in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Buble led the pack, winning the night's biggest awards including Artist of the Year, Single of the Year for the song "Home," and Album of the Year and Best Pop Album for his top-selling CD, "It's Time."
Nickelback came away from the festivities with two trophies for Group of the Year and Rock Album of the Year for "All the Right Reasons."
Indie rockers Arcade Fire walked away with the Songwriter of the Year award for the group's songs "Neighborhood No. 3 (Power Out) and "Wake Up, Rebellion (Lies). Best Alternative album went to Toronto's Broken Social Scene.
The Best International Album category ended up being a tie between Coldplay and the Black Eyed Peas. This award is decided based on sales figures and votes.
Other winners included Daniel Powter for New Artist of the Year, Neil Young for Adult Alternative Album Of The Year and Diana Krall for Vocal Jazz Album of the Year.
