LOS ANGELES, CA  [Wednesday May.3.2006]  /WMQT.com/ -- The Red Hot Chili Peppers have been tapped to headline this year's Weenie Roast in Irvine, California.

The annual event sponsored by Los Angeles alternative radio station KROQ takes place May 13th at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater and also features performances by Matisyahu, Rob Zombie, Dashboard Confessional, She Wants Revenge, Taking Back Sunday, Damian "Jr. Gong" Marley, Angels & Airwaves, Panic! At The Disco, Rock Kills Kid, and more.

Tickets go on sale this Friday, May 5th, at Ticketmaster and cost $65 and $55, plus any applicable fees.
