SANTA BARBARA, CA  [Tuesday May.16.2006]  /WMQT.com/ -- The airdate for "Oprah Winfrey's Legends Ball" television special has been rescheduled for May 22nd.

According to Oprah's official web site, the special was moved from its original airdate of Monday, May 15th, due to a nationwide address by President Bush scheduled for that same night.

During the one-hour TV special, Oprah shares her memories, candid celebrity interviews and intimate behind-the-scenes moments from this historic event honoring 25 legendary African American women who paved the way for others.

Mariah Carey, Mary J. Blige and Alicia Keys are just a few of the many stars appearing in the special.

The new airdate for "Oprah Winfrey's Legends Ball" is Monday, May 22nd at 8:00 pm, ET/PT on ABC. Be sure to check your local listings for further details.
