Teen Choice Award Nominees Announced
Fall Out Boy, Rihanna up for Teen Choice Awards.

LOS ANGELES, CA  [Wednesday Jun.21.2006]  /WMQT.com/ -- The first wave of nominees for the 2006 Teen Choice Awards have been announced, and Rihanna leads the way with four nominations.

The Barbados-born singer's hit single "SOS" is up for the Choice Single award, and Rihanna also earned nominations for Choice Female Artist, Choice R&B Artist, and Choice Female Hottie.

Chicago rockers Fall Out Boy scored a pair of nominations including Choice Rock Group. The band's song "Dance, Dance" is also in the running for Choice Single.

And continuing her comeback, Mariah Carey is in the running for two Teen Choice awards. She's up for Choice Female Artist and Choice R&B Artist.

Other Teen Choice nominees include Kelly Clarkson, Sean Paul, James Blunt, the Arctic Monkeys, Chris Brown, Hoobastank, Jack Johnson, and Mary J. Blige.

Voting for the first wave of the Teen Choice Awards is currently underway, and you can cast your vote online at www.fox.com/teenchoice.

The current batch of nominees will be narrowed down, so be sure to come back to www.fox.com/teenchoice to start voting for the second wave of categories on July 6th and the third wave on July 27th. Voting ends on August 11th.

The Teen Choice Awards show airs August 20th at 8 pm ET/PT on FOX.
