NASHVILLE, TN  [Friday Jun.30.2006]  /WMQT.com/ -- During the CMA Music Fest earlier this month, Carrie Underwood was greeted enthusiastically by a lot of young fans.

Carrie says she loved that and felt a sense of responsibility toward them.

"My favorite fans are the young girls because I was them. I always try to spend a little extra time with them, because that one encounter you have with them could change their thinking about something and go, 'Oh wow, I could do something like this. So I think it's important to keep in mind that young people are watching me, and to try to put good ideas into their heads."
