INDIANAPOLIS, IN  [Wednesday Aug.9.2006]  /WMQT.com/ -- The Red Hot Chili Peppers are getting their own race car -- sort of.

Scenedaily.com reports that during the Emerson Radio 250 Busch Series event at Richmond International Raceway on September 8, Clint Bowyer's No. 2 Richard Childress Racing Chevrolet will feature a Red Hot Chili Peppers paint scheme.

The paint scheme was revealed last Thursday at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

"I'm definitely a fan of the Red Hot Chili Peppers and I'm looking forward to having them on my Chevrolet for the Chevy Rock & Roll weekend," stated Bowyer. "I definitely like the group and their music. Who doesn't like the Red Hot Chili Peppers? I got to meet the band in Charlotte earlier this year and had a lot of fun talking with them and listening to their show at the race track."
