TORONTO, CANADA [Tuesday Sep.12.2006] /WMQT.com/ -- The first ever "V Festival" held in Toronto Canada went out with a bang as the Raconteurs rocked the house for almost an hour.
"Steady As She Goes" was a huge crowd pleaser, as were tracks like "Intimate Secretary" and "Level," but the band, as always, had a trick up its sleeve -- a cover of "Headin' For The Texas Border" by the Flamin' Groovies.
The Strokes and Wolfmother also wowed the fans with their high-energy hits.
The festival was such a success that plans are already in the works for next year, with the possibility of adding a few more Canadian venues.
