LOS ANGELES, CA [Tuesday Oct.3.2006] /WMQT.com/ -- The Killers' latest release, "Sam's Town," has sparked a bit of confusion among fans.
The big question: why isn't "Enterlude" the first song on the album? The lyrics go like this: "We hope you enjoy your stay/ it's great to have you with us even if it's just for one day". The record begins instead with the title track "Sam's Town."
Frontman Brandon Flowers explained the band's creative logic. "'Enterlude' is just a nice refrain," he said "It's almost like the beginning of a sitcom or a movie where you're welcomed into the place before you see the credits. That's what it feels like. Is 'Sam's Town' like the stand up bit in 'Seinfield' and 'Enterlude' the theme? Yeah, it's a bit like that."
