NASHVILLE, TN [Wednesday Oct.4.2006] /WMQT.com/ -- Last month when we saw a screening of Tim McGraws new film, "Flicka", a couple of ladies from the Humane Society who had monitored the treatment of horses on the film remarked, "We didn¹t know Tim could sit a horse that
well!"
Apparently they weren't alone in offering praise for McGraw's horsemanship. Of all the actors in "Flicka," it turns out Tim McGraw was the one with the most riding experience and it showed. Rusty Hendrickson was brought on board to train the actors and includes in his credits such films as "The Horse Whisperer" and "Seabiscuit."
According to Equestrian mag, Hendrickson said that Tim was the most experienced rider. "He had the most experience," explained Hendrickson. "He had been around horses somewhat.
He came to us with a good sense of balance. It was easier for him than the others." Tim was assigned a Registered Quarter Horse gelding called Biscuit who was "real quiet around the camera," explained Rusty.
