TORONTO, CANADA  [Friday Oct.27.2006]  /WMQT.com/ -- "Promiscuous Girl" Nelly Furtado has been booked as the feature performer at the Rogers Grey Cup Halftime Show, the largets event for the Canadian Football League (CFL).

Furtado said of the appearance, "The Grey Cup is a national treasure and I'm thrilled to be performing at this year's game in Winnipeg. Year after year the entertainment bar is raised and I'm looking forward to continuing the tradition."

Previous performers have included The Black Eyed Peas, Bryan Adams, Sam Roberts, Shania Twain and The Tragically Hip.

The 94th Grey Cup Game will be broadcast live from Winnipeg on November 19th on the CBC and RDS.
