LOS ANGELES, CA  [Tuesday Nov.14.2006]  /WMQT.com/ -- Evanescence guitarist Terry Balsamo shocked fans when he suffered a stroke late last year.

An even bigger shock is what may have caused his condition: years of headbanging along to music.

Balsamo is on the road to recovery, but knows he has a long way to go. He said, "I still have paralysis in my left arm and hand. I'm at enough where I can get by on tour. Basically this tour is like therapy right now for me. I'm hoping it will get better."
