LOS ANGELES, CA  [Tuesday Nov.21.2006]  /WMQT.com/ -- Nelly Furtado and Timbaland have revealed the surprising source of their inspiration for the hit album "Loose."

The pair based the record's vocal sound on the ever-so-soothing Irish singer Enya.

Furtado said, "Timbaland and I listened to her a lot in the studio. Some of the vocals on my new album try and mimic her rich and beautiful vocals."

She added, "I think many artists try and emulate her sounds and are inspired by her in a quiet way."
