Music and Fashion Meet At Nordstrom
Retail chain now to sell tunes
by Laura Katz

LOS ANGELES, CA [Tuesday Nov.28.2006] /WMQT.com/ -- Nordstrom has teamed up with music executive Michael Barber to begin selling albums online and in select retail store locations.
They've kicked off the endeavor by offering 20 titles such as Marvin Gaye's "Anthology" and "An Introduction To Jamie Cullum." Nordstom also plans to sell tunes from artists like Justin Timberlake, John Mayer and the Plain White T's.
The department store chain is taking its lead from coffee giant Starbucks, which added music to their retail mix back in 1995.
