LOS ANGELES, CA [Wednesday Dec.20.2006] /WMQT.com/ -- Led Zepplin, The Doors, Carlos Santana and other legendary musicians are suing William Sagan, the man who owns a concert footage website called Wolfgang's Vault (www.wolfgangsvault.com).
The site sells high-end concert memorabilia from bands like U2, but it also streams rare shows from veteran bands like Led Zepplin and The Who dating back to the late 1960's. The suit is claiming that the audio and video recordings are illegal and are being used in order to promote sales of its other merchandise.
Jeff Reeves, representative for the artists, said, "Sagan simply doesn't have the legal rights to exploit and profit from the extraordinary success of these musicians.
Rep's for Wolfgang's Vault were not immediately available for comment.
