LOS ANGELES, CA [Monday Jan.29.2007] /WMQT.com/ -- The Red Hot Chili Peppers, John legend, the Backstreet Boys and many more have made an appearance on a new DVD paying tribute to Beach Boys singer Brian Wilson.
"MusiCares Presents A Tribute To Brian Wilson" features the Peppers covering "I Get Around," Richie Sambora doing his version of "City Blues", and Jeff Beck taking on
"Surf's Up" and "Surfin' USA."
The DVD was filmed at a charity dinner back in 2005, and also features performances from John Legend, the Backstreet Boys, Shelby Lynne, Earth, Wind and Fire, and, of course, The Brian Wilson Band.
Don Henley is the 2007 MusiCares Person of the Year honoree, with a live tribute set for February 9th in Los Angeles.
The MusiCares foundation assists music people in times of crisis, including a wide range of financial, medical and personal emergencies.
