Nickleback Makes Charitable Move
Canadian band to donate proceeds of next single to charity

by Laura Katz

Nickelback
LOS ANGELES, CA  [Wednesday Jan.31.2007]  /WMQT.com/ -- Canadian export Nickelback has made a generous announcement: the band will be donating 100% of the proceeds from the digital sales of their forthcoming single and video to charity.

"If Everyone Cared" is the 6th single off of the album "All The Right Reasons," which has gone quintuple platinum.

The rock band has chosen Amnesty International and International Children's Awareness Canada as beneficiaries.

The charities couldn't be more well-suited to the track - its video features footage of famed humanitarians Bob Geldolf, Nelson Mandela and Peter Benenson, the founder of Amnesty International.
