LOS ANGELES, CA  [Wednesday Feb.7.2007]  /WMQT.com/ -- Akon, the R&B sensation from Senegal, is joining Gwen Stefani on tour this April.

This won't be the first time the pair has worked together: Akon and Gwen recently collaborated on the title track to her latest album, "The Sweet Escape."

In the meantime, Akon's mega hit "Smack That" has earned a Grammy nod in the Best Rap/Sung Collaboration category. Fans can also catch the singer on Live With Regis & Kelly on February 28th, where he'll be performing the track "Don't Matter." Be sure to check your local listings for exact showtimes.
