LOS ANGELES, CA [Wednesday Mar.7.2007] /WMQT.com/ -- The Red Hot Chili Peppers have sent a letter of condolence to the family of a man who was killed while waiting to buy tickets to an upcoming Auckland concert.
According to Gigwise.com, the 18 year-old man was sleeping in a shopping center parking lot in Whangarei, New Zealand while waiting to purchase tickets the next morning at 9am.
The unnamed man was killed by a hit and run. Police are now searching for the driver of a dark-colored Nissan Skyline.
A rep for the group said, "The band's hearts and prayers are with the family at this sad time."
