LOS ANGELES, CA [Wednesday Mar.21.2007] /WMQT.com/ -- Red Hot Chili Peppers have been forced to postpone tourdates in Japan due to illness.
According to NME.com, lead singer Anthony Kiedis has been diagnosed with bronchial pneumonia, and can't fly for 10 days.
The band issued a statement on their website, www.redhotchilipeppers.com, saying, "The Red Hot Chili Peppers wishes to tell all of the Japanese fans how sorry they are to not be able to play the shows as scheduled but are very much looking forward to seeing them soon.
"Please accept our deepest apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused."
The band also said that they expect to make up the postponed dates in the fall, and will announce the rescheduled gigs as soon as they can.
