"T.I. vs. T.I.P" due out this July
LOS ANGELES, CA [Thursday Mar.22.2007] /WMQT.com/ -- Rapper T.I. has a new project in the works, and has invited a host of celebrities to appear as guests.
Word is that "T.I. vs. T.I.P.," the eagerly-awaited follow-up to 2006's platinum-certified smash hit "King" will feature Eminem, Justin Timberlake, Timbaland, Akon, Lil' Wayne and many more of today's hottest hip-hop artists.
At least that's the plan anyway. The rapper told MTV, "Eminem, we got a real hot concept that we spoke about over the phone. It's gonna be on some real creative s**t. Justin Timberlake, we're just waiting on the proper song to get him on my album as well."
Whether they come on board or not, T.I.'s new record is jam-packed with name-brand talent. He said, "Timbaland, I'm working with Danja [Timbaland protégé Nate Hills] today. Scott Storch, Mannie Fresh, Wyclef - he came through with some real worldly music and great vocals. Nelly, Lil Wayne, R. Kelly. We reached out to Ciara, gonna see what she says. Akon did his thing for me. Just Blaze, we did a song called 'Help Is Coming.' I'm basically talking about how they say the industry is suffering. Well, help is on the way. Fret not."
"T.I. VS T.I.P" is expected to hit stores in July.
