NASHVILLE, TN [Tuesday Mar.27.2007] /WMQT.com/ -- Carrie Underwood talks about her days on American Idol, relationships and growing up with small-town values in this exclusive interview for the cover story of the current Country Weekly.
Carrie admits that so much has happened with her career that it's sometimes hard to take it all in. "I definitely say thank you a lot," Carrie tells Country Weekly. And the gratitude spreads out in many directions, including family. "My mom has made big sacrifices," she confesses in the zine.
"She's such a wonderful person. Her being supportive of me has helped me the most. My parents definitely did instill a moral compass in all of us." As far as romantic attachments, Carrie reveals that, "There's nobody in the picture romantically. But it's better now that I have friends I can go hang out with in town." She also admits that, with her sudden rise to fame, "It's gonna be hard to find somebody who does like me for little plain Carrie."
There may not be much time for dating, anyway, as Carrie prepares to work on her follow-up album to the smash Some Hearts. "I'm just hoping that it will all go as smoothly as last time," she says.
ALSO, CARRIE looked sensational and sang sensationally on Saturday Night Live this past weekend. First singing a sizzling versioin of "Before He Cheats" in a short skirt Carrie showed off perhaps the best looking legs in country. She returned to sing the current hit single, "Wasted."
