LOS ANGELES, CA  [Wednesday Apr.4.2007]  /WMQT.com/ -- R&B star Chris Brown is hitting the big screen in a new basketball flick called "Phenom."

Teenmusic.com reports that the "Run It" singer will play a high-school basketball star who competes against his father's pro team in the NBA play-offs.

Brown will be opening for Beyonce Knowles in Australia starting April 21st.
