LOS ANGELES, CA [Monday Apr.16.2007] /WMQT.com/ -- Hecklerspray.com reports that Muse frontman Matt Bellamy is questioning the benefit of the upcoming "Live Earth" global concert event.
The singer said, "Private jets for climate change, not sure about it that seems to be a bit on edge really- that's an issue really, so we need to think about it!"
Ashok Sinah, director of Stop Climate Chaos defends the worldwide gig, saying, "They have to reduce carbon emissions, we have to do reduce carbon emissions, and in just the same way that we may look at a pop star and say, 'you use more carbon than I do,' then people from Africa could look at us and think we don't go flying around everywhere, I have met people in Africa who haven't even made a phone call let alone get on a plane."
"Live Earth" will take place on 7 continents on 7/07/07, and will feature today's hottest artists including Foo Fighters, Alicia Keys, AFI, John Legend, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Madonna, Snow Patrol, The Police and many, many more.
