Keith Urban's World Tour Launched
Star kicks things off in Munich

by Neil Haislop

Keith Urban
NASHVILLE, TN  [Tuesday Apr.24.2007]  /WMQT.com/ -- Keith Urban, is now spreading love and pain to the whole crazy world since launching his Love, Pain and the whole crazy world tour.

First stop was Munich, Germany last Thursday, the first of three dates in Germany (Munich, Cologne Saturday and Hamburg Sunday). "Guten tag Munich, it's good to be back," said Urban, as he took to the stage for the first time in nearly six months, before an "ear-splitting, frantic crowd." Urban's set was more than two hours and featured songs from his latest release "Love, Pain & the whole crazy thing."

And while opening his tour in Germany, another premiere was taking place back here as Keith's new video for his latest single, "I Told You So" premiered worldwide on Yahoo!, as well as on CMT and GAC.

ALSO, KEITH URBAN SAYS his earliest country influences came from the hot stars of the 1980s he heard on Australian radio through international shows and syndicated shows like Bob Kingsley's American Country Countdown.

"You know, through the '80s when I was still playing in cover bands in Australian we were doing like Janie Fricke, Charly McClain and Lacy J. Dalton, and Alabama. There's a lot of artists I played, but I'd say Don Williams was the one I heard most around my house."
