by Laura Katz

LOS ANGELES, CA [Friday May.18.2007] /WMQT.com/ -- Reuters reports that Christina Aguilera has been given permission to perform in Shanghai.
Last year, The Rolling Stones were forbidden to play their more sexually explicit songs while performing in the region, and Jay-Z's Beijing gig was cancelled altogether by culture officials, citing indecent lyrics.
According to christinaaguilera.com, the star will be performing in Shanghai on June 26th.
