NASHVILLE, TN [Monday May.21.2007] /WMQT.com/ -- When the ACM Awards closed the rehearsal so Tim McGraw could rehearse his special new song, "If You're Reading This," it wasn't the only secret part of the show the ACM wanted to guard.
They also had kept it quiet that they had invited 150 family members of soldiers that had died in battle to be present when the song was debuted.
"It was difficult keeping their presence a secret and get them all in the audience without it being known who they were," Tim's manager, Scott Siman tells us. Knowing that the families of fallen soldiers were sitting behind him as he sang the song made Tim determined to give a truly special performance of "If You're Reading This," which he wrote with the Warren Brothers.
A single version of the song, extracted from the ACM Broadcast has made it to radio.
