Rascal Flatts' Gary Levox Had A Tough Choice
It came between his day job and the music
by Neil Haislop

NASHVILLE, TN [Friday Jul.20.2007] /WMQT.com/ -- According to Jay DeMacus he had a hard time coaxing his cousin Gary LeVox into giving up his day job in Columbus, Ohio to join him in Nashville.
Seems Gary was involved in a rewarding career helping others that he found hard to give up. Gary tells us, "I worked for the Board on Mental Retardation. I trained disabled kids to teach them the basic job skills that they need to get outside employment. Public employment. Some of them drove to work. They get no credit. I absolutely loved it. It was probably one of the toughest days of my life when I had to leave. They'd call them 'Gary's Kids.' Because they were my kids. You're teir mother, their father, their best friend, their everything. It was just a wonderful experience to be able to... you get to see them when they first get into the program and then tn years later they're living in their own apartment."
