LOS ANGELES, CA [Friday Aug.31.2007] /WMQT.com/ -- R+B hitmaker Ne-Yo hasn't given up on pop-star Britney Spears, and says he's keeping two songs on hold just for her.
Ne-Yo says he originally wrote six to eight tracks for Spears but offered two of them to Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger for her solo debut.
He says, "There were two songs that Britney really, really liked and I told them that I would set those two songs aside and nobody would hear them until Britney Spears' voice was on them."
"This was a few months ago and I haven't heard anything from them since." Britney recently refused the opportunity to duet with superstar Justin Timberlake, and it was also revealed that Spears chose to turn down the chance to record Rihanna's now hit "Umbrella."
