LOS ANGELES, CA  [Monday Oct.1.2007]  /WMQT.com/ -- Singer George Michael wants to rally support for "Rehab" singer Amy Winehouse.

During an BBC radio interview, the pop star tells host Kirsty Young, "This is the best female vocalist I've heard in my entire career and one of the best writers. She's a fantastic talent and we should support her."

The fans apparently agree with Mr Michael. According to the her official website, http://www.amywinehouse.co.uk/, Amy has made it on to the final shortlist in 3 categories of the MTV European Music Awards. She is up for Best Album, Best UK Act and Most Addictive Track. The event takes place in Munich on Nov 1st.
