BURBANK, CA [Wednesday Jan.14.2004] /WMQT.com/ -- Many people figured that Evanescence founder, Ben Moody, dropped off the face of the earth when he left the band last Rocktober, but that couldn't be further from the truth.
Not only has he been spotted in Los Angeles at shows by the popular heavy metal parody band, Metal Shop, but he is now become part of Avril Lavigne's songwriting team for her next album.
A succesful songwriter who co-wrote all of "Fallen", the hit album from Evanescence, Moody will join several other writers including Evan Taubenfeld and Canadian singer/pianist Chantal Kreviazuk for Lavigne's follow-up to her hit record "Let Go".
Moody contacted Lavigne's record company rep and volunteered his songwriting skills.
The album, which is scheduled to hit stores in late spring, has several producers on board so far including the immensely talented Butch Walker, Our Lady Peace frontman and Canadian Raine Maida and Don Gilmore who produces Pearl Jam's breakout record, "Ten".
