DETROIT, MI [Wednesday Feb.18.2004] /WMQT.com/ -- Attention, Americans: We've finally got a comeback for Canadians who rip on us about that whole "pregnant chad" business. Vancouver's Nickelback has been added as a last-minute nominee for Album of the Year in Canada's Juno Awards. Why last-minute? It seems a "data-entry error" originally left "The Long Road" out of the running, said an embarassed representative for the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences. Nominations for Album of the Year are based entirely on sales, and are traditionally limited to five artists. Because of the data-entry snafu, this year's list will lower the odds for all considered, with a total of six bands vying for the award. The other five nominees are Nelly Furtado ("Folklore"), Sarah McLachlan ("Afterglow"), Celine Dion ("One Heart"), Sam Roberts ("We Were Born In A Flame"), and Michael Bublé ("Michael Bublé"). The Juno Awards ceremony will take place on April 4th in Edmonton.
