DETROIT, MI  [Tuesday Mar.2.2004]  /WMQT.com/ -- Disney's Superstar Kidz, the band created to cover popular music for the enjoyment of children, are releasing their latest effort today, "Walt Disney Records Presents Superstar Kidz 2." Kind of a mouthful, as far as titles go, but the kiddies won't mind. The compilation features such hits as "Here Without You," by 3 Doors Down, as well Christina Aguilera's "Beautiful" and Uncle Kracker's cover of "Drift Away." (Oddly, the songs are credited as being "made popular by" on the track listing, as if they're all a bunch of public domain songs that have been floating around for centuries before finally catching on.) The album also includes 5 bonus karaoke tracks so kids can sing along with real back-up audio, which might be fun if parents were planning on leaving the house for several hours anyway.
