Tonight's gala star-studded.
by Ellen Sawyer

DETROIT, MI [Monday Mar.15.2004] /WMQT.com/ -- Outkast and Alicia Keys will announce the induction of R&B legend Prince into the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame tonight. The 45 year-old singer/songwriter is undeniably a huge influence on the music of Big Boi and Andre 3000, and props are expected in excess. Other celebrity announcements include Kid Rock for fellow Michigander Bob Seger's induction (side note: Today is offically "Bob Seger Day" in the state of Michigan as deemed by Governor Jennifer Granholm) and Bruce Springsteen for his pal Jackson Browne. VH1 will broadcast an edited, two-hour version of the festivities Sunday at 8 and 10 p.m.
