The program features rare footage and photos of Andre Benjamin and Antwan "Big Boi" Patton, who met in an Atlanta high school lunchroom during a rap battle. The show also includes interviews with family, friends and producers.

Their friend DJ Swiff explains how Andre and Big Boi got the name OutKast: "They went through the dictionary, or a thesaurus or something, and tried to just find a word that best described them and they came up with OutKast."
