No Doubt and Foo Fighters contribute to second compilation.
SPRINGFIELD, MO [Tuesday May.4.2004] /WMQT.com/ -- On 4/20, Fat Wreck Chords released the compilation "Rock Against Bush Vol. 1." Featuring contributions from The Offspring, Ministry, Sum 41, New Found Glory, Less Than Jake (with Billy Bragg) and others, the album sold almost 20,000 copies in its first week. The album has inspired other artists to work on a sequel. Fat Mike, NOFX frontman and head of Fat Wreck Chords, is spearheading the series. No Doubt, The Foo Fighters, Green Day, Bad Religion, the Used, Yellowcard and Flogging Molly will contribute tracks to "Rock Against Bush Vol. 2," due in August. More artists expected to join them.
No Doubt will donate the song "Comforting Lie" off their third album "Return of Saturn." The Foo Fighters will provide a cover of "Gas Chamber," an early punk song originally recorded in 1982 by Los Angeles punks, the Angry Samoans.
