The Better Life Foundation helps children and youth in need.
LOS ANGELES, CA [Wednesday May.19.2004] /WMQT.com/ -- 3 Doors Down wants to give something back.
That's why the multi-platinum band started a new charity on Monday. The Mississippi Press reports that 3 Doors Down (3DD) started "The Better Life Foundation" to help children in need of food, shelter and medical assistance. Named after 3DD's 2000 debut album, the foundation also aims to enhance the lives of children and young adults with special needs. Singer Brad Arnold told the newspaper, "We see it as a start of something really good and we can do a lot with it. It makes us feel good, too, to do it." Arnold also said that 3DD feels it is its "duty to give back something after making it big in the rock music world."
3DD plans to release its third album in early 2005. When the band tours to support that album, Arnold says $1 from every ticket will go to The Better Life Foundation.
