Banks' "Hunger For More" arrives at No. 1 on Bill
LOS ANGELES, CA [Friday Jul.9.2004] /WMQT.com/ -- Usher may burn, but Lloyd Banks is on fire.
According to SoundScan, as of July 7 Banks sold 433,000 copies of his debut record Hunger For More." The rapper's album also debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard 200™ albums chart.
Usher's "Confessions" stays strong at No. 2, selling over 148,000 copies this week. Brandy takes the No. 3 spot with "Afrodisiac," selling more than 131,000 copies. "Kiss of Death" from Jadakiss lands at No. 4, while Lil' Wayne's "Tha Carter" takes the No. 5 position. The Beastie Boys' "To the 5 Boroughs" moves to the No. 6 spot, and The Cure debut at No. 7 with their self-titled, thirteenth album. Country artist Gretchen Wilson's "Here for the Party" is No. 8 on the albums chart, the "Spider-Man 2" soundtrack is No. 9 and The Dave Matthews Band's live CD/DVD "The Gorge" debuts at No. 10 to round out the Top 10 albums this week.
