LOS ANGELES, CA  [Friday Aug.6.2004]  /WMQT.com/ -- Maroon 5's Adam Levine says life on the road's not so bad. "Life on the tour bus is a lot different than everybody thinks," Levine recently told the Chicago Sun Times. For him, the bus has come to represent stability as the band moves from town to town, playing shows. On the tour bus, the Maroon 5 members share sleeping quarters and a bathroom, not to mention personal space.

Levine explains, "I think it's really comforting to be on a bus, because you know the routine: You wake up, roll out of bed, maybe play some video games, maybe jog, maybe lift weights, maybe read a book ... but regardless, you're doing something during the day to kill time that is beneficial to you or the people around you."

The Maroon 5 singer adds, "To me, touring is the most regular thing we do. It actually keeps me from drinking and doing horrible things."

Maroon 5 will be on tour through early November. After the band wraps up its North American tour on September 22 at the Western Washington Fair in Pallyup, Washington, Maroon 5 heads to Japan for the rest of September and launches a European tour in October. The band is touring to promote its platinum-plus album, "Songs About Jane.''
