Garza brothers are bringing music back to life.
LONDON, UK [Tuesday Oct.19.2004] /WMQT.com/ -- Like the Blues Brothers, Los Lonely Boys are "on a mission from God."
In an interview with UK newspaper The Times, the Garza brothers explained how they view their music mission.
Henry says the band has remained true to its music roots. He explains, "We are on a mission from God. A big old spider's web has got wrapped over good music. We have stuck to our guns and still play with what we had in the beginning."
Jojo adds, "Our mission is to bring real music back to life, bring out the roots, put some water on them, let the people see them."
Ringo likens Los Lonely Boys' mission to baking cookies. "The music industry is like a cookie-cutter: just put cookies on the shelves to keep the money rolling in. But there's nothing like mama's home-made cookies, the ones where you taste the love, the poverty, everything you have been through. We are mama's home-made cookies."
