NEW YORK, NY  [Thursday Dec.30.2004]  /WMQT.com/ -- Los Lonely Boys, Big & Rich, Ciara and Fabolous are among the artists set to perform on the annual ABC special, "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve 2005." The show airs December 31 at 10 pm / 9 pm CT and also features performances from Earth Wind & Fire, Ashlee Simpson, Billy Idol and Simple Plan. Simpson will also help co-host the show, which is being hosted this year by Regis Philbin. Philbin is filling in for Dick Clark, who is recovering from a stroke.

In a statement, Clark said, "I'm so glad that Regis hadn't yet made any New Year's plans. It'll feel strange watching it on TV, but my doctors felt it was too soon. I'm sure Regis will do a great job and I'm thankful that he was able to step in on such short notice."

Among the performances to take place on this year's New Year's Rockin' Eve special are Los Lonely Boys playing "Heaven" and "More Than Love" and Ciara performing "1,2 Step" and "Goodies."
