LOS ANGELES, CA  [Tuesday Jan.11.2005]  /WMQT.com/ -- Some fresh new releases are coming your way today, January 11, and all are compilation albums featuring an impressive array of artists.

On the film front, soundtracks for "Coach Carter" and "Elektra: The Album" are now in stores. The Coach Carter album serves up a hip-hop mix that includes the Twista-Faith Evans duet, "Hope," and songs from Fabolous, Ciara, Kanye West, Lil' Scrappy and Chingy. The "Elektra" soundtrack features new songs from Jet, Evanescence, Taking Back Sunday and Alter Bridge, plus tracks from The Donnas, Switchfoot and Finger Eleven.

"Sounds Eclectic 3" is another notable compilation out today. The collection of live tracks was put together by Los Angeles public radio station KCRW and features songs performed on air during the program "Morning Becomes Eclectic." "Sounds Eclectic 3" includes live tracks from Radiohead, Franz Ferdinand, Sarah McLachlan, ex-Jam and Style Council frontman Paul Weller, Interpol, Steve Earle, The Flaming Lips and more.
