U2 kicks off Good Morning America summer series in May.
NEW YORK, NY [Wednesday Apr.20.2005] /WMQT.com/ -- U2 will get "Good Morning America's" summer concert series underway next month with a TV appearance on the show. But instead of U2 heading to New York to play the ABC morning show, "Good Morning America" is going to the band.
"Good Morning America" will meet U2 at one of the group's stops on the Vertigo tour. During U2's appearance on the show, the band will be interviewed and GMA will air live concert footage. Three U2 songs will air on the program on May 20, and two more songs will air May 21 on the weekend edition of "GMA," reports Billboard.com.
Other artists who are scheduled to play the Good Morning America concert series this year include Shakira, Santana, Missy Elliott, Clay Aiken, Keith Urban and Avril Lavigne.
