The Killers psyched to play select U2 European tour dates.
NEW YORK, NY [Tuesday Jun.14.2005] /WMQT.com/ -- The list of support acts joining U2 in Europe this summer reads like a who's who of hot bands, and the Killers are psyched to be among them.
That's because for the Killers, hitting the road with U2 is pretty much a dream come true.
"We love U2, they're kind of this perfect band to us," Killers frontman Brandon Flowers gushed to MTV.com. "They've been around for 26 years or something. They've maintained the same four members. They're still relevant, still important, still grabbing 17-year-old kids and keeping 45-year-old fans. They're perfect. They can do no wrong. They've got songs that will last forever. We're grateful they're having us out."
Franz Ferdinand, Keane, Snow Patrol and the Doves will also join U2 on select dates during the sold-out, European leg of the Vertigo Tour. Other opening acts include the Zutons, Interpol, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, the Bravery, the Kaiser Chiefs and Razorlight.
