NEW YORK, NY  [Monday Jul.11.2005]  /WMQT.com/ -- We're halfway through 2005... and mid-year tallies show that the top country tour of the year so far belongs to Kenny Chesney.

According to figures compiled by Billboard, Kenny's current tour has grossed more than 25-million dollars - a number surpassed only by U2, Elton John and Celine Dion's running stint in Las Vegas.

Separate mid-year tallies by Pollstar are similar - they also report that Kenny has played to more people than
anyone else, including U2, in 2005. More than 600-thousand tickets have been sold to Kenny's concerts since the first of the year.
