LOS ANGELES, CA [Friday Aug.12.2005] /WMQT.com/ -- If you look inside the packaging for Coldplay's third album "X&Y," you won't see any lyrics printed there.
Chris Martin tells RollingStone.com that's "because I'm not a great lyricist."
The modest Coldplay frontman says, "When you hear someone like Ian McCulloch or Bob Dylan...those are lyrics that should be printed. Mine are just a bunch of feelings."
Although Martin may be somewhat self-conscious about his lyrics, his emotion-filled writing has struck a chord with fans around the world who would love to read the words to the band's songs.
So here's some good news for Coldplay fans. Registered members of the band's official web site can access the lyrics from Coldplay's three albums at
Coldplay.com.
