Green Day postpones two shows while Armstrong rests voice.
NASHVILLE, TN [Wednesday Aug.17.2005] /WMQT.com/ -- As reported yesterday, Green Day was forced to postpone its Nashville show earlier this week due to a band member's illness.
The band also needed to delay last Sunday's show at the Nutter Center in Dayton, Ohio.
The Green Day concerts were postponed so that singer and guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong could rest his voice. According to Reuters, the Dayton and Nashville shows were postponed based on doctor's orders for Armstrong to hold off singing for a few days. At press time, the band was expecting to resume the tour on Wednesday, August 17th, in Oklahoma City.
Green Day's shows in Dayton, Ohio and Nashville, Tennessee will be rescheduled, so if you have tickets for these concerts, hold on to them.
Green Day is touring behind its Grammy-winning album, "American Idiot."
