Animated rockers may take stage as 3D holograms in 2007.
LONDON, UK [Wednesday Sep.14.2005] /WMQT.com/ -- The Gorillaz may be hitting the road -- in 2007.
NME.com reports that Murdoc, Russel, 2D and Noodle are thinking of launching a world tour, with the band taking the stage in 3D hologram form.
The Gorillaz tour delay won't get off the ground until 2007 due to financial and creative technical issues that need to be worked out before the trek launches. For instance, it's still unknown whether live musicians will join the Gorillaz onstage or if the music will be pre-recorded.
The Gorillaz are the biggest cartoon band in the world right now with their best-selling album "Demon Days." So far, the disc has spawned two chartbusting hits, "Feel Good, Inc." and "Dare."
