Tommy Lee Injured At Motley Crüe Show
Lee suffers minor burns on arms, face during Crüe show in WY

by Krista Desens

Tommy Lee
CASPER, WY  [Thursday Oct.13.2005]  /WMQT.com/ -- Drummer Tommy Lee was injured onstage during a Motley Crüe concert Wednesday night (October 12th) in Casper, Wyoming.

According to the group's official web site www.Motley.com, Lee's injury happened towards the end of the band's set and was apparently caused by a faulty pyrotechnic explosion that occurred as the drummer was suspended 30 feet above the stage.

After the accident, Lee played one more song before being rushed to the hospital, where he was treated as an outpatient. He suffered minor burns on his arms and face but is expected to make a full recovery.

"He didn't look good while the paramedics were treating him backstage so we chose to err on the side of caution and send him to the hospital," said Motley Crüe frontman Vince Neil.

Motley Crüe will continue its current US tour as scheduled, and no shows will be canceled. The stateside outing wraps up October 16th in Sioux City, Iowa, and the band will finish up the year with a tour of Japan and Australia in support of its greatest hits album "Red, White and Crüe."
